Two days of #OutsystemsOne, plus one more of Champions Summit

Plenty of bells and whistles, and that’s part of the fun of events and keynotes. Plenty of AI, expected with all the buzz nowadays, and the public release of Agent Workbench that I’ve been playing around for some weeks. But also a clearer roadmap, with the consolidation of Outsystems 11 and ODC, and that’s the biggest takeaway for me from these days.

…And also plenty of catchup with familiar faces that I haven’t seen in a while!

Regarding Foto, and other social networks.

Foto is cool and clean, all that we wanted Instagram to be, but the issue is, in many ways, is just like all the others: it’s privately owned, centralized, closed, probably will be monetized at some point, and, as much as its founders are well intended, its roadmap will be decided by a handful of people. At some point, by the shareholders. Musk is right at one thing: these services are becoming the global, digital public square. And that’s why they need to evolve into something that’s open, decentralized and based on standards. And Foto doesn’t seem to be any of that.

The masks were back in Lisbon! For some time it was kind of a tradition to have masked group coming from all parts of the world for FIMI (Festival Internacional da Máscara Ibérica), with the big moment being the parade that happened downtown. It has been on hold for some years, until last weekend. It’s far from being the same as seeing the authentic thing, but having all these together in the same location, and honestly a bit out of place, makes always interesting photos. And you are able to see familiar faces in your hometown! #fimi #desfileinternacionaldamascaraiberica #lisboa #portugal

After the weeks in the Balkans, between fun kitsch of the cities and the imposing peaks of the mountains, it's time ti hit back the streets in my hometown. #justprocessed

Back to Amplifest

Back to Porto for Amplifest. Like last year, I ended up taking the camera with me. Like last year, I ended up turning it mostly to everyone around, not the bands. I’m really not a concert photographer, I’m more into paying attention to the small things that are happening around me, and that’s why the moments I took the camera from my bag were the dead moments between shows. The breaks to have a beer, to hangout outside by the sun, to chill and enjoy the day. Just like I was doing.
